- Kapitel 147 -

It is good to sing praise

1
Hallelujah! (a) How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and lovely to praise Him!
2
The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel.
3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
4
He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.
5
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.
6
The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground.
7
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God,
8
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the hills.
9
He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call.
10
He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legpower of the man.
11
The LORD is pleased with those who fear Him, who hope in His loving devotion.
12
Exalt the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion!
13
For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses the children within you.
14
He makes peace at your borders; He fills you with the finest wheat.
15
He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly.
16
He spreads the snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;
17
He casts forth His hail like pebbles.(b) Who can withstand His icy blast?
18
He sends forth His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
19
He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.
20
He has done this for no other nation; they do not know His judgments.(c) Hallelujah!

Es ist gut, Lob zu singen

Alleluja! Lobet den Herrn, denn Lobsingen ist gut; liebliches und fröhliches Lob werde unserm Gott dargebracht.
2
Der Herr erbaut Jerusalem, er sammelt die Zerstreuten von Israel.
3
Er heilt, die zerknirschten Herzens sind, und verbindet ihre Wunden.
4
Er zählt die Menge der Sterne, ruft sie alle mit Namen.
5
Groß ist unser Herr und groß seine Macht und seiner Weisheit ist kein Maß.
6
Der Herr erhebt die Sanftmütigen und beugt die Sünder in den Staub.
7
Singet dem Herrn mit Jubel, preiset unsern Gott auf der Zither!
8
Er überzieht den Himmel mit Gewölk und bereitet Regen der Erde. Er lässt Gras auf den Bergen sprossen und Kräuter zum Dienste der Menschen.
9
Er gibt dem Vieh seine Nahrung und den jungen Raben, die zu ihm rufen.
10
Er hat nicht Lust an der Stärke des Rosses noch Wohlgefallen an den Schenkeln des Mannes.
11
Der Herr hat Wohlgefallen an denen, die ihn fürchten, und an denen, die auf seine Barmherzigkeit hoffen.
12
Alleluja! Lobe, Jerusalem, den Herrn! lobe Sion, deinen Gott!
13
Denn er hat die Riegel deiner Tore festgemacht, deine Kinder in dir gesegnet.
14
Er hat deinen Marken Frieden gewährt und sättigt dich mit dem Fette des Weizens.
15
Er sendet sein Wort aus auf die Erde, gar schnell eilt sein Wort.
16
Er gibt Schnee wie Wolle, streut Nebel wie Asche aus.
17
Er wirft seine Schloffen wie Bröcklein hernieder, wer kann bestehen vor seinem Froste?
18
Er entsendet sein Wort und lässt sie schmelzen; es weht sein Wind, da fließen die Wasser.
19
Er tut Jakob sein Wort kund, seine Rechte und seine Satzungen Israel.
20
Nicht also hat er irgend einem andern Volke getan und seine Rechte ihnen nicht offenbart. Alleluja!
