The Book of Psalms

A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Those trusting in YHWH [are] as Mount Zion, || It is not moved—it abides for all time.

Jerusalem! Mountains [are] around her, || And YHWH [is] around His people, || From now on—even for all time.

For the rod of wickedness does not rest on the lot of the righteous, || That the righteous do not put forth their hands on iniquity.

Do good, O YHWH, to the good, || And to the upright in their hearts.

As for those turning [to] their crooked ways, || YHWH causes them to go with workers of iniquity. Peace on Israel!

Those who trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

For the scepter of wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the righteous, so that the righteous won’t use their hands to do evil.

Do good, LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

But as for those who turn away to their crooked ways, the LORD will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel.
