- Kapitel 18 -

(Matthew 5:27–30)

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, ’I am Yahweh your God.
3
You must not do the things that the people do in Egypt, where you lived previously. You must not do the things that the people do in Canaan, the land to which I am taking you. Do not follow their customs.
4
My laws are what you must do, and my commandments are what you must keep, so that you walk in them, because I am Yahweh your God.
5
Therefore, you must keep my decrees and my laws. If a person obeys them, he will live because of them. I am Yahweh.
6
No one must sleep with anyone to whom he is closely related. I am Yahweh.
7
Do not dishonor your father by sleeping with your mother. She is your mother! You must not dishonor her.
8
Do not sleep with any of your father’s wives; you must not dishonor your father like that.
9
Do not sleep with any sister of yours, whether she is the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, whether she was raised at your home or distant from you. You must not sleep with your sisters.
10
Do not sleep with your son’s daughter or with your daughter’s daughter. That would be your own shame.
11
Do not sleep with your father’s wife’s daughter, who was born of your father. She is your sister, and you must not sleep with her.
12
Do not sleep with your father’s sister. She is a close relative to your father.
13
Do not sleep with your mother’s sister. She is a close relative to your mother.
14
Do not dishonor the brother of your father by sleeping with his wife. Do not go near her for that purpose; she is your aunt.
15
Do not sleep with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not sleep with her.
16
Do not sleep with your brother’s wife; do not dishonor him in this way.
17
Do not sleep with a woman and her daughter, or with her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter. They are close relatives to her, and sleeping with them would be wicked.
18
You must not marry your wife’s sister as a second wife and sleep with her while your first wife is alive.
19
Do not sleep with a woman during her menstruation. She is unclean during that time.
20
Do not sleep with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her in this way.
21
You must not give any of your children to put them into the fire, so that you sacrifice them to Molech, because you must not profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh.
22
Do not sleep with other men as with a woman. This would be wicked.
23
Do not sleep with any animal and defile yourself with it. No woman must consider sleeping with any animal. This would be perversion.
24
Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for in all these ways the nations are defiled, the nations that I will drive out from before you.
25
The land became defiled, so I punished their sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.
26
You, therefore, must keep my commandments and decrees, and you must not do any of these detestable things, neither the native-born Israelite nor the foreigner who lives among you.
27
For this is the wickedness that the people in the land have committed, those who lived here before you, and now the land is defiled.
28
Therefore, be careful so that the land does not vomit you up also after you have defiled it, as it vomited out the people who were before you.
29
Whoever does any of these detestable things, the persons who do such things will be cut off from among their people.
30
Therefore, you must keep my command not to practice any of these detestable customs which were practiced here before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them. I am Yahweh your God.’”

Der Herr redete zu Moses und sprach:

Rede zu den Söhnen Israels und sage zu ihnen: Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Nach dem Gebrauche des Landes Ägypten, in welchem ihr gewohnet habt, sollt ihr nicht tun; und nach der Sitte des Landes Chanaan, in das ich euch führen werde, sollt ihr nicht handeln, und nach ihren Satzungen sollt ihr nicht wandeln.
4
Ihr sollt meine Vorschriften beobachten, und meine Gebote halten und nach ihnen wandeln. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.
5
Bewahret meine Satzungen und meine Vorschriften; der Mensch, welcher sie hält, wird durch sie leben. Ich bin der Herr.
6
Kein Mensch soll seiner Blutsverwandten nahen, ihre Scham zu entblößen. Ich bin der Herr.
7
Die Scham deines Vaters und die Scham deiner Mutter sollst du nicht entblößen; es ist deine Mutter; du sollst ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
8
Die Scham des Weibes deines Vaters sollst du nicht entblößen; denn es ist die Scham deines Vaters.
9
Die Scham deiner Schwester, von Vater oder Mutter her, sie sei daheim geboren oder auswärts, sollst du nicht entblößen.
10
Die Scham der Tochter deines Sohnes, oder der Tochter deiner Tochter sollst du nicht entblößen; denn es ist deine Scham.
11
Die Scham der Tochter des Weibes deines Vaters, welches sie deinem Vater geboren, die also deine Schwester ist, sollst du nicht entblößen.
12
Die Scham der Schwester deines Vaters sollst du nicht entblößen; denn es ist das Fleisch deines Vaters.
13
Die Scham der Schwester deiner Mutter sollst du nicht entblößen; denn es ist das Fleisch deiner Mutter.
14
Die Scham des Bruders deines Vaters sollst du nicht entblößen und seinem Weibe nicht nahen; denn sie ist dir durch Schwägerschaft verbunden.
15
Die Scham deiner Schwiegertochter sollst du nicht entblößen; denn sie ist das Weib deines Sohnes, und du sollst ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
16
Die Scham des Weibes deines Bruders sollst du nicht entblößen; denn es ist die Scham deines Bruders.
17
Die Scham deines Weibes und ihrer Tochter sollst du nicht entblößen. Die Tochter ihres Sohnes und die Tochter ihrer Tochter sollst du nicht nehmen, ihre Scham zu entblößen; denn sie sind ihr Fleisch und ein solches Beilager ist Blutschande.
18
Die Schwester deines Weibes sollst du nicht als Nebenweib zu ihr hinzunehmen und sollst ihre Scham nicht aufdecken, während jene noch lebt.
19
Einem Weibe, das am Monatsfluss leidet, sollst du nicht nahen und ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
20
Mit dem Weibe deines Nächsten sollst du nicht Umgang haben und dich nicht durch Vermischung des Samens verunreinigen.
21
Von deinen Kindern sollst du keines hergeben, um es dem Götzen Moloch zu weihen, und sollst den Namen deines Gottes nicht beflecken. Ich bin der Herr.
22
Du sollst nicht mit einem Manne fleischlichen Umgang haben, wie mit einem Weibe, denn dies ist ein Greuel.
23
Du sollst mit keinem Tiere fleischlichen Umgang haben und dich nicht dadurch verunreinigen. Ein Weib soll sich keinem Tiere hingeben und nicht mit einem solchen Umgang haben; denn das ist eine Schandtat.
24
Ihr sollt euch durch nichts derartiges verunreinigen; denn dadurch haben sich alle die Völker verunreinigt, welche ich vor eurem Angesichte vertreiben werde,
25
durch die das Land verunreinigt ward, und ich werde seine Lastertaten heimsuchen, damit es seine Einwohner ausspeie.
26
Beobachtet meine Satzungen und Vorschriften und verübet keinen von allen diesen Greueln, weder ein Einheimischer, noch ein Fremdling, der bei euch weilt.
27
Denn alle diese Greuel haben die Einwohner des Landes verübt, die vor euch da waren, und haben das Land verunreinigt.
28
Hütet euch also, dass es euch nicht gleicherweise ausspeie, wenn ihr das Gleiche tut, wie es das Volk ausgespieen hat, das vor euch da war.
29
Jede Seele, die irgendeinen von diesen Greueln übt, soll aus der Mitte ihres Volkes weggetilgt werden.
30
Haltet meine Gebote! Tuet nicht, was die getan haben, welche vor euch da waren, und verunreinigt euch nicht dadurch. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.
